Doctoral Student Shawn Eagle Awarded NATA Doctoral Research Grant

NMRL doctoral student Shawn R. Eagle has been awarded a National Athletic Training Association (NATA) Doctoral Research Grant for a study titled “Neuromuscular and Sensorimotor Differences Between Recently Concussed Athletes and Healthy Controls”. The study, which is a collaboration between the NMRL and the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, will investigate potential mechanisms by which athletes are at an increased risk of musculoskeletal injury after suffering a concussion and returning to play.
