Anne Z. Beethe is a doctoral research fellow in the Sports Medicine program within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to enrolling in the doctoral program, Anne was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC, working with their Men’s Soccer, Baseball, and Women’s Basketball programs. Anne earned her BS in Exercise Science at Creighton University and her MA in Athletic Training at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Additionally, she is an Athletic Trainer Certified through the Board of Certification and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Anne’s research interests include injury prevention and performance optimization in sport and military populations, and more specifically neurological factors that contribute to human performance optimization, stress, resilience, and injury.
