Dr. Shawn Flanagan was invited to speak at the 2022 Annual American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) and American Osteopathic Association of Sports Medicine (AOSM) Convocation in Orlando, FL. His presentation discussed the corticomotor basis of traumatic musculoskeletal injury and the use of TMS to elucidate how the brain changes in response to a peripheral injury. It was followed up with a workshop to demonstrate how our lab implements TMS and EMG to examine corticospinal excitability.
