Second-year doctoral student Nicole Sekel was awarded the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) in partnership with the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) 2021 Young Investigator Award. Only 10 awards were given in the US and Internationally. Nicole will attend a digital masterclass with the other award recipients focused on bone biology, pathology, and transcriptional control of bone cells and bone cell signaling and will have the opportunity to present her current research related to bone imaging and adaptation.
