The NMRL had a large attendance of students, staff, and faculty members at the November 2021 Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting hosted in Harrisburg, PA. Doctoral students Felix Proessl and Nicole Sekel were nominated for the Doctoral Student Investigator Award. Kristen Koltun (post-doctoral fellow) and Matt Bird (doctoral student) presented data from an ongoing study enrolling Marine Corps Officer Candidates School candidates to assess musculoskeletal health and injury prevention. Maria Canino (doctoral student), James Baker (research assistant), and four Master’s students (Juliana Hougland, Deanna Huck, Ryan Campbell, and John Stauffer) presented data on an ongoing study investigating the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation on adrenal medulla function and resilience.
